Simple question really, but how much time do you actually spend prepping each week? I am playing with the options on this forum so I have included a poll, to help track the results. Now you can include anything that you do to prep, be it reading articles on the internet, going to the gym, cleaning firearms, etc etc.

This is hard to answer for me and this is as good a place to try and explain why things like bug-out-bags and a lot of prepping topics doesn't apply in my case. Basically I have bugged out and I've nowhere to go from here.
I prepped for years towards a specific goal, my home here in the mountains. I had a lot of it down in in 2008 and when (in a limited but personally very dangerous way) the SHTF, so I jumped! It was on the whole the best thing to do but it hasn't been an unqualified success.
Anyway, in some ways I've passed prepping and am now into, you call it homesteading I think, but other ways everything I do is prepping, just for next winter or next week for that matter.
So much for simple questions eh, (Bet your thinking 'Bloody Frankie can make anything into a conundrum!')

So not to be rude but is your income the same on a monthly basis or does it vary?

It varies wildly. In the winter I pretty much have to hibernate. In the spring I'm mostly gardening and attend to my projects. In the summer I can retreat to my nice cool workshop and do any joinery commissions I may have or just make some steady sellers like my Celtic benches (the wood is nicely dry at that point). Autumn is harvest and most often when people look at their thatch roofs and think 'best get that fixed' (usually too f**king late!) Then when the weather closes in It's hunker down again... [Edit] I don't have *a* job... Or a pension or any 'regular' income. As far as some prepper types are concerned I'm living the dream here just scary sometimes....

Yes that would be a bit differentl, we are not set up for a seasonal variation in income. Every month I know what we're bringing in. If I had the money to pay the house off, we would be rich!! So how long to make a bench and what do they go for?

Here is a nice simple one ( Pictish designs all straight lines) I rarely do very complex unless I'm commissioned to. The bench it's self I can do in a single day. A simple top will take a couple of days and I've done the legs and kicker on some. It can be a day to make the bench and a week to do the carving if I get all silly about it So what wood, what pattern, do you want a 'classic' traditional pattern or one of mine and how complex? makes the price.. Thanx for the vote of approval. The Amish reference is appropriate as I aspire to their elegant simplicity. Partly because if it is well designed in that way it is ( or aught to be) simple to produce. Therefore either a bigger profit margin or pass the savings on to the client as necessary. Top of which a featureless 'pure' form throws the focus onto decoration.
But northern Spain is the southernmost of the the Celtic 'federation' of the Sea Kings. So they have a tradition of Celtic art here but the Pictish school was a pure Scottish (an a bit northern Island) phenomena. As I learned the art in Iona (Scotland) I'm well versed but the folks here are only familiar with the late mainstream (curly) tradition.... Advantage me...
They also 'Flat-Pack by design and a small child could work out how to assemble it and once put together the structure can only fail if one of the elements breaks. I have friends with bars and restaurants on the famous Camino de Santiago which sees millions of tourists a year. I've given these benches to them to leave outside the bar. The pilgrims use them to take off their bags and catch their breath etc. and if they inquirer they can get my number (or turn the bench over an see it routed into the bottom) and I can ship to anywhere in Europe... Flat-pack remember...
It works, no biggie.
