So for your food preps, what do you invest in? Long term foods like MRE's, dehydrated items etc? They tend to be a bit pricier then store bought or home grown foods, but tend to last a lot longer. Or do you just get whatever you can from Wally world, the local garden, or your hunting adventures and continue to replenish that for whatever the shelf life is on those foods?
I honestly do both, I invest in the long term foods and have quite the stock of perishable foods that we go shopping for. In the winter time all of my frozen foods can be stored outside or in my unheated garage to save them. In the middle of the summer we would be screwed in that regard.
So what do you prefer to blow your hard earned cash on, and what is your food stocking strategy?
